There are many Avatar: The Last Airbender games available for fans of the dynamic series to play. A quick search of the Internet will prove that anyone has access to countless flash games that are scattered across the World Wide Web. However, the animated series has translated well from the small screen to console platforms. The genius of both the Korean animators and series creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko continues to shine in any of these adaptations.
Avatar: The Last Airbender " The Burning Earth has a bit of a bad name. Xbox 360 gamers know it as the game that it is the easiest to receive 1000/1000 achievement points in. However, despite this, the game is not bad in and of itself. Moreover, it has received several releases on other platforms. These include the Nintendo Wii, DS, Game Boy Advance and the Sony PlayStation 2. Considering that it has received such a wide release, it is not difficult to overlook that one platform-specific shortcoming. There is quite a bit to be enjoyed here, especially with the fact that Momo and Appa can sometimes appear in dramatic air battles that really bring the game to life.
Avatar: The Last Airbender " Into the Inferno is the sequel to this work, and was released on the Nintendo DS and Wii as well as the Sony PlayStation 2. Perhaps one of the more interesting concepts in this game is the way in which the various characters are able to perform separate abilities in the Wii version of the game. Aang forms an 'air ball' that can blow and break down objects. Katara bends water to extinguish fires. She can also create ice in various ways. Toph can shake the earth and lift up soil into pillars. Zuko incinerates objects with the power of his flames. However, Sokka is without bending capabilities and can only use his boomerang to defend himself.
